Description organisation
The Serbian Medical Society is an NGO of physicians and dentists (established in 1872), engaged in improving general health care and in decision-making concerning the application of modern medical procedures, influencing development and new paths of medical research, the system and organization of health care, embracing the ethics of medical profession and quality of care in particular. It represents interests of 20000 physicians in Serbia.
It has been publishing “The Serbian Archives” since 1874.
It is active via its chapters (territorial principle) and specialized departments. The Medical Academy was founded in 1976 aimed at scientific and research activities.
