Patient Safety (Italy)

An innovative approach to patient safety within a 400 bed hospital is described where, via collaboration with the Faculty of Law at the local University, an Insurance Company, Hospital managers and other stakeholders, patient claims are examined and solutions sought.

This all in the context of other patient safety related activities, such as: employment of risk managers, and routine collection of relevant data.
